I previously used Mitas e09 on the rear and didn't have any problems with it what's so ever either on black stuff or on the wet mud,I believe it's all down to personal choice in the end, I think the eo7 is a pretty similar tread pattern to the tyre I'm using at the moment which is the gt201 , great for dry summer work and good on the black stuff. The wet chalky mud down here on the South Downs is a pig of a thing when it comes to tyres!..
