I wouldn't recommend the Mitas EO9 as a general purpose tyre....

For starters, it is an absolute pig of a thing to break from the bead if you need to do trailside repairs. Strangely enough it is the only rear I have ever punctured (twice) on the Tenere... and mine was the "Dakar" version.

Also found it to be diabolical on wet tar and highly unpredictable on loose gravel, never giving any indication as to when it was going to let go....

Have tried several combinations of front and rears, and my current favourite setup is a Pirelli Scorpion Rally on the front and Mitas EO7 (140) on the rear. The only problem with the 140 on the rear are fitting issues...Almost impossible to get it to bead up, as opposed to the 130 which virtually pops on by itself.

Will be doing a fair bit of desert/sand riding this year so will be trying a Dunlop 606 on the rear but they are not noted for their longevity so will probably eventually go back to a 130 EO7

Understandably this combination works fine here in Australia, but I also feel confident it would also manage admirably, the slippery trail shown in your video.
