as for extending the Kev Mod wires, you don't need anything special as there's only a tiny current involved. However, increasing the length of the wires will increase resistance so a heavy gauge conductor will help in this respect.

You could use speaker cable, but the insulation isn't great and doesn't resist abrasion and heat well, so not ideal for running along the frame above the engine of a vibey old single!

Ideally use some 0.5mm square automotive wiring. You can get it from Halfrauds (at a price), from and auto electrical supplier, or I tend to get all my wiring bits and pieces from here. It would be worth buying some PVC sleeving too.
