I have favoured going for the spare live feed that is behind the small panel under the dash. It's an 'ignition live' fed by number 1 fuse ( 10 amp - side light / tail light circuit ). Although protected by a 10 amp fuse, the wiring is lightweight so I would suggest this spare connector block should only run sat navs and stuff under 5 amps. I think there are quite a few threads on here regarding this particular available connection block.
