Do you need the bike lowered? The height could have been the only fly in the ointment in my purchase of this bike: I went and test rode one to see how unsurmountable (literally!) this problem was going to be. I'm 169.5cm (and yes that 0.5cm gap to 170cm has always plagued me.

As someone (on here?) once said: am I a man or a mouse? With that in mind I promptly hopped on the bike. I was extremely satisfied with how easy it was to get on the Tenere and how easy it was to ride once I got going. When stopped, I just slid my arse so that only one cheek was on the seat.

I was reluctant to partake in any lowering for fear of compromising the handling.
