Insurance Nightmare!!

This is a bit of a complicated one so I'll try keep it simple...

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...

I'm 33, passed bike test 08/2013, Tenere is my first big bike and love it, no mods aside from top box / handguards, live in one of London's dodgier post codes, no no-claims bonus - non-fault crash in 2012, 50/50 crash Oct 2014 which is still unresolved...

The flats I live in have secure, gated, cctv monitored, underground parking though the insurance companies treat it as though its a public car park My bike is immobilised as standard, back wheel locked to an industrial strength ground anchor with approved lock and chain, front wheel locked to a bicycle rack with a Oxford Alarm Boss disc lock and chain. The bike is parked in direct view of one of the CCTV cameras.

I have recently left work to set myself up as self-employed, and hopefully establish a little not-for-profit social enterprise (have a look at http://environmentallychallenged.org - Road Safety, Travel Training and Functional Skills Tuition for young adults with disabilities, learning difficulties and/or special educational needs). The business has only gone live this week and the hunt for clients begins... as does the need to use my bike to get to clients houses

I spoke with my insurance company - Carole Nash in January, about the prospective upgrade in business use on my policy and was told that it wouldnt make too much of a difference to the price, so promptly forgot about it and got on with sorting out the rest of the business.

Today I called them back to ask for business use to be added to my policy and was told that my needs cant be met under my current policy as the risk is too high not at all what I was told back in Jan. If I want to use the bike to travel to clients houses as a self employed person, Im gonna have to to start from scratch with a new policy Im not up for renewal until July and, as the crash from October last year still isnt resolved, I cant get a refund for the remaining months though I cant use the bike for work under my current policy

Seeing as it sounds like I need an entirely new policy I decided to have a call around a few companies I cant believe the quotes 3300 to 5800 for fully comp!!!

My bike is my only form of transport, and I need to use it to drive around to various clients houses, schools, colleges etc cos London transport takes ages, but theres no way I can pay that sort of money for insurance!!

One of the many operatives Ive spoken with today mentioned that I may be able to find something cheaper if I look into commercial motorbike insurance he wasnt allowed to give me the names of any companies over the phone and suggested I google it Ive come up with nothing except another bunch of ridiculous quotes

Any suggestions?? HELP!!
