To be honest, I'd probably have dived in and done both at once but it's the annual European tour in 3 weeks so I'm on a budget.

It's not actually the 690 Enduro I'd like - I'm way too short for that - it's the 690 Duke road bike. I do love my XT, but as a road bike it's a bit too compromised at present.
