actually you are right, it is too loud.
When i got mine it was too loud, i went back to the factory in my van and they supplied me with a pepperpot plate that was to be inserted between the link pipe and the silencer. It did quieten down but the restriction was too much and the bike performed very badly.
I removed the pepperpot and went back again but this time with the bike and rode straight into the workshop and revved the engine hard............."very loud isn't it" was the reply. So they cut the inserted baffle down which did have some improvement and i decided to try it.
I tried to live with the noise for some time but i couldn't hear my gps at speed properly and last year i did some quite long rides, the can had to go. I'm now back on the standard set up. I can hear myself think, fuel economy has gone up but performance has not changed............and i really do mean that, performance has not changed!
If you want to make your engine perform better then the dna filter and kev mod are all that is needed. Save your money for other things more important like beer
The can and link pipe is available for anyone that is deaf.
Oh yeah and i could have wasted more time going back to mtc but they have had their chance, more than i would give anyone else. End of!
