Thanks for all the advise.

My baby is running again, had it running the next morning after buying the spares. After seating all the bearings it took me 11 hours to put the motor together and get it back in the frame.

Although she's mechanically sound there seems to be a electronic gremlin that got in whilst she was apart, only when ridding in the rain though.
So now my only day off is going to be spent splashing water around to try recreate the problem.
