1st gear is a bit high for river crossing / real tight trails that require 1st to be used. The lower over all gearing is a benifit..
I think a 50tooth rear would suit me for some of the terrain I ride at times
& the bike would be doing around 4500rpm @ 100kph...
Have not been able to find a 50 tooth rear... So will go with 14/48 which is about the same as 15/51 would be...
Also the Rekluse clutch likes the lower gearing , clutch lock up is quicker..
