This has been one of my jobs to do for a while , i was just going to cut and blank of the side of the left can ( looking for back) get rid of the link pipe , leave the right can in place but gut it and use it as a tool tube !!

Have you got any close up pics of the finnished job ?

Sorry cant help with what weight you'll loose removing the disc but every little helps, can't see why they put twin discs on in the first place !!
