Phil, the pannier frames I've got are the SW Motech ones (got them second hand cheap). Brilliant as they are quick release so I keep them off unless going away. I designed the soft luggage plates for these but am currently designing the luggage plates for the givi frame as well.

Depends what pannier frames you can get hold of. I can design the plates for any pannier frame. The SW Motech pannier frames ones new are about �180 (bit pricey) and the givi ones cheaper - but not as robust apparently.

I use a pair of the Kriega US20 packs and strapped them to my soft luggage plates. Bloomin brilliant bags and fully waterproof plus you can use them on their own as a tail pack for days out. Brand new they are �75 each, I've had mine for about 4 years now. When I've made the other pannier plates, I'll take some pics of both on the sw motech and givi frames and send you the pics see what you think.
