I think you are yet another victim of the damp weather!

The miss-firing is almost certainly down to moisture in HT side of the ignition. Dry the coil, HT lead and check/replace your plug.

The fault code 46 could well be down to the wet as well. It relates to the fuel pump/starter-circuit cut off relay. This is probably the cause of the non-starting. You are doing the right thing checking the connectors, but you are really going to have to take the tank off to investigate properly. Aim your attention at the aforementioned relay and its connectors.

Check the wiring harness for abrasion too. It is a reasonably common fault for the wiring to wear through and short against the frame. Worn insulation may not give trouble and go unnoticed until it gets wet, at which point the moisture bridges any gaps between conductor and earth.

Also check you battery is fully charged.
