Although the mounting lugs and the bolt holes will line up (the frame is the same), the 2010 XTX side panel won't fit a 2006 XTX as each end (where it meets the tail section and tank panels) is a completely different shape on the later XTXs to accommodate the new tail and tank panel design. The later side panels also have different contours as well.

However, 2010 XTR side panels will fit a 2006 XTX as they never changed altered the bodywork on the R.
