I ve had that set up up for a while firstly the bigger rear sprocket is an improvement off road especially in very rocky descents, but on road it's not so good. If you commute in an urban area I would not change.

The larger chain is a safer option in my view. With the added thickness I think it's probably less likely to a brake and b derail.

With this set up I've done double the mileage with much less ware on the Cush drives
