Can you get better crush rubber and where from ????????
You may not believe it, but I've seen worse looking cush drive rubbers!

I have had a look into getting some polyurethane ones made up, but the setup cost is just too much to make it worth while unfortunately. I think I'm going to take up Petenz's idea of getting some urethane sheet and cut some out. So far I've just changed them every time I replace the rear tyre; small price to pay to keep things running smoothly. I use the pattern ones which are about 20 as far as I recall.

Original gearing is 15/45, so at 15/47 you're running a bit lower already. Going up one more tooth on the back to 15/48 is exactly the same as 14/45.

I've just bought a 525 chain to fit based a few reviews I've read saying folk have found them easier on the cush drive and sprocket carrier bearing. I'm always open to trying something new, so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I've moved it and changed the title from "crush drive" to "cush drive"!
