I'm off on a trip soon that will have a variety of different terrain:

         Tarmac

 Dirt

 Mud

 Slate

 water crossings

 gravel

 grass (probably wet)

I'm going for TKC's all round and wondered how good they are going to be in the wet mud and grass as that's where the majority of the best part of the trip will be covered.

I have a got a virtually brand new Michelin AC-10 front in the garage and was considering putting that on the front with the new TKC on the rear.

I'm not worried about killing the AC-10 on the trip so don't worry about that in your reply.

It has to cover about 600 miles on tarmac and about 400 miles on the dirty slippery muddy gravely stony slatey stuff....

I want to be able to enjoy the dirty stuff and am not worried about taking a slow'ish pace getting where I am going on the tarmac section (probably happy to potter along at 65mph)

so.... what do you reckon? bad idea or good idea...
