Hi guys and girls, good to find this site.

On my last trip I got a scratch on my 1200GS and it was written off . The nature of trips we do, the GS was not ideal, so I have bought a 2007 XTR.

Decided to mount my Zumo 500 cradle and did a quick Google to find where to hook into the wiring on the XTR for the GPS power (and/or an Aux plug), but no luck. But I did come across this site!!

Mods that I must do:
1. GPS / Aux power
2. Wide off-road pegs
3. Protection bars
4. Some form of side racks.
5. Exhaust ???? �not sure what I am going to do but the header pipes that run under the belly � have gotta go. They will get damaged and clearance is limited (as I found on my very first brief off-road test on Sunday morning)
6. Decent bash plate
Sure I will find more mods to do, just looking thu some of these threads!!

I hope to share in your XT knowledge and share some of my adventure knowledge and hopefully meet some of you on the forum and at some time, in person!
