I have a bog standard tenere and might have a play with it but i do not want to mess up the MPG in any way as i use it everyday for a long commute.
I get a lot of surging when cruising around 4k and wonder if a mod will fix it?
I have tried to go the the Kev mods section on this site and it says i am not allowed.
Any ideas please.

Hi Mike,
I've just installed the two Kev Mods to my Ten, you can read about them here:
http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=21137
In short, the single greatest thing you can do for your bike is to install the O2 sensor mod. Will smooth out all your low-end.
The next step will be to swap the air filter and cover, let a lot more air in.
For this, you'll need the Kev Fuel Mod so you can adjust the A/F mix properly.
Then, you'll want to do something with the exhaust to let all that gas out again!
Follow that with the cush drive rubber mod and a properly tensioned chain, and you'll have yourself a bike that can tickle along at 30mph but responds properly to acceleration, roars through the gears and doesn't stop pulling til about 115mph!
Estimated increase of about 6 bhp... and I only spent about 200... Beautiful!
Hope this helps,
Steve.
