I bought mine in June 2008, without a test ride. Spent a couple of months getting it run in, then put 8000 miles on it in 19 days.
My view, it's alright.
I still have the same bike today, it is the only bike I've kept more than 2 years, although it has morphed over the last 5 years with a constant stream of modifications, each one improving it a little more.
