Post drop links, bike lowering

hi all, so i have noticed with my bike that i have started to strain my ankles i think due to not been able to get both feet flat on the floor so thinking of lowering the bike the questions are 20mm drop links are they a good idea? do they change the bike handling for the better or worse(i often carry lugauge and pillion) does it make the bike loose its sumo stance ? and if i was to drop it 20 mm i take it i need to drop the forks through the yokes by the same amount ? if so is there enough room with standard bar set up or do i need fork risers as well ? whats people opinions on lowering these babies? cheers in advance

plus will i notice alot of difference in ground clearance and chain wear ?
how will the oem cope with the lowered bike will it still be very stable ?
