They basically chopped 25mm off the end of this pipe and reblanked the end. I tried the can again and still too loud, they chopped another 25mm off and now I was happier.

This sounds completely different to my pipe. Got an Oval single Stainless MTC. I'm not too bothered about the noise level as I'm in the land of V-twins but it would be good to know I could lower the noise if need be. The only thing that comes out of my pipe is this (pic). Doesn't sound anything like what you've got.
