Hmmm ... I like the 'technically'

So what you are saying is: it will work to inflate the tyre, but it takes a lot of CO2 to do so, and using a pump is in fact easier? And/or, if you carried enough CO2 to do the job, it would take up more room than a pump or compressor?

Got it - that's pretty much what I thought people would say. The whole idea seemed too easy ...

I carry a lightweight MTB pump at the moment, but I am on the lookout for a bicycle mini-pump which would save a bit of space. Aldi/Lidl have one on sale this week, so I will have a look at that.

I just hate pumping up tyres ... Bad enough on a 26x1.25
