Interestingly I was reluctant to chop mine about thinking that I'd be butchering a really expensive part, but I have subsequently found out that the OE Yamaha tail unit is just �37.62 including VAT from your dealer! Cheap compared to the �70 for either the R&G or Shamighmoto ones. As I like garden shed engineering I think I might buy an OE unit and have a play...
