Mine�s a 2004 and I have the same problem with the popping and yes it�s like a shotgun! If it happens in town everybody turns the head, it�s a bit embarrasing...
The only way I've found to solve the problem is to increase the fuel from 2.000rpm to 7.000rpm at 0% an 2% thortle opennings, with a Power Commander obviously. But it still pops a bit.
With a dyno I�ve discover that at small thortle opennings at high revs the mixture is a bit lean so I increased fuel a 40%.
