Would just add that you can always install a rev counter. I bought a Koso unit for �40. You just need to find a convenient place to fix it & run a wire down to the HT lead. Hold in place with zip-tie, et voila.....
Much easier than fiddling about with the diag display etc & handy when you're riding.
