BUT WHAT MILEAGE YOU GET OUT OF THEM ? |
How longs a peice of string?
Every member of this forum could put the same tyres on their bike and get different mileage from them, it depends on riding style and terrain.
I cant get anything like the mileage out of my tyres that others do as my 300 mile a week commute is usually a completely unhinged last minute dash to work through heavy traffic, whereas someone who rides more sedately on faster roads without stop start will treble their miles per tyre.
Also your definition of "the best road tyre" will differ to others.
As Darren has already mentioned a softer compound will give better grip but less mileage, you will never get a tyre that sticks like poo to a blanket and lasts forever.
It's a very hard thing to gauge and in my experience the only way to truly find out what works for you personally is to try things yourself.
I realise this doesnt answer your question but hopefully you'll understand the point I'm making.
