Incorrectly torqued engine mount bolts can cause a huge increase in vibes. If the XTZ you tested had an aftermarket bash plate/crash bars fitted it could suggest that the front engine mounts weren't torqued correctly, or were never rechecked after a few hundred miles.

yep i've been having some extra vibes recently and i found the lower mount of the guard had lossened a little. still vibby but the extra rattle vibes i'd been feeling have gone.
