Nah, if you reckon you could change a set of headstock bearings, then you can do the fork conversion, as long as you are prepared to buy the OTR yokes.

If you want to try and do some sort of mash-up of other yokes (like Bernard did) then you need someone with engineering knowledge and access to a machine shop. But what I did was more or less just a bolt-on job because while I have the former I don't have the latter. Or the patience.

I think my front end stands me at about �1200, without selling any of the old bits.

I did use the hydraulic press at work to swap the steering stem. Any car/bike workshop would be able to do that for you for a few quid in beer money.

I paid someone to rebuild the forks with new bushes, seals, and oil. They're set up as if for a KTM 450SX, and seem to work OK on the Ten.

I did machine up the bar risers, but you could buy them.


Probably overkill for road and trailriding use, but they do look good as well
