I managed to bend the OE bars, and went for the 613 as a replacement. Maybe I just set the rotation of the bars differently, but they have a much more natural feel than the OE bars, and as UT says, no need for risers.
You do need to re-route the throttle cables where they pass under the tank (they go under the oil pipe and need to go over it), like in the graphic below ->
The current route is shown in red, the green is the oil pipe and the blue dashed line is the new route.
