I agree with Gulgo, they are alright for some weather protection, but not to protect the levers. I 'did' both my levers at the Lakes doooo.
Front brake by letting gike fall over nd clutch by a stall when cold, yep it fell over within a yard on each side!

I now have barkbusters but not before it cost me to get two new levers.
On the gright side I do have two short spare levers!
