Pretty much. A single silencer is never going to be as quiet as twin silencers, unless it's much bigger - like the original box-type one.

There's not many single-can systems on the market, unless you're able to make your own link pipe, in which case you can use whatever silencer you can find.

Off the top of my head there's MTC, the SR one sold by Off-the-road.de, and the single Akra. The reason so many people go for the MTC (including me) is that they're less than a third the price of the others.
