If You Havn't Checked Your Throttle - Do It
Decided to check the bars on my new (2009) XTR

Removed all the controls and found this..

Full of rust and pitted

Gave it a good sanding and cleaned it all up with a bit of WD40

So - if your'e washing the bike regularly - make sure you clean out under the throttle
