Good choice of commuter and funbike imo.
I commute 70 miles a day on mine and love every second of it come rain or shine.
They make decent commuter/mellow trailie/scratchers.
The forward riding postion is very much a part of the geometry of these bikes, as you know they are modelled on Motards and although too heavy and probably a bit bland on standard suspension to be a proper b*ll*cks out Motard they are alot of fun to ride.
You will be keeping more weight on your front wheel than you are used too and may find the road alot closer in your field of view

but that`s all part of the fun.
As far as buffeting goes I usually cruise around the 85-90 mph mark on an open Motorway and find it not too bad in the old wind department, takes a bit of getting used, wrenching your head back from lifesavers and wotnot but definitely not so annoying that it becomes a problem.
