How to Mount and Fit Panniers(Part 2)

You can loosely offer up the puks and screws and get them fixed and mounted.



You can see how they hook over the racks...

A hand knob will loosen off allowing the pannier to be lifted off of the rack

Finally use a hack saw or in my case an angle grinder to cut the long lower bolt head off.

One side finished...do the other pannier the same way remembering the where the chamfered side is...

Finished job....just level with the rear of the end cans...

Finally I fitted a bottle rack which holds a 2 litre bottle either for fuel or water...I only needed to cut about 3cms off the end of the holding straps and melt it closed due to the fact it was just too long for me...this way it's neater ..

Inside shows the four 8mm nuts....

As usual....if you've never done it before hopefully this'll help you to give it a whirl...and convert the dealer labour charges into Guinness...
