i found a water repellent wax, don't remember the name, but spread it all over the boots generously, then and this is for real, put them in the oven at around 140 - 160 degrees F for about 30-45 minutes, take them out let them cool a little and then repeat. the heat makes the wax pull into the leather and makes it supple and waterproofs as well, just like they would be after 3-6 months of wearing them


BTW do this when the wife is out she will scream, and if you have plastic buckles make sure they aren't touching any metal in the oven
