i have the mother in law at home for 2 weeks so I figured it was time I spent some time in the garage
So I killed the last 2hours doing that:
A small frame for my GPS.

I cut and wrapped 2 pieces of an old tyre tube around the bar, and wrapped some black tape around it to keep it tight.
then, I used a length of whatchamacallit (metal strip with holes... pardon my french
)
I folded it for strength and added 2 horizontal pieces for rigidity.
then I wrapped a piece of inner tyre tube around the top piece as the bolts were quite close to the screen and it'll serve to reduce vibration/damage.
The GPS plastic craddle is held by cabl ties because I just have one, son I need to be able to put it back in the car
