I bought my Givi second hand at least 15 years ago and have lost count of how many bikes it's been on. Always waterproof provided you don't get the string "hinges" caught up when closing the lid. The fit of the mounting scaffolding has always been spot on (but can't always say the same for the quality of the finish - anyone want to buy same for a first generation FJR in need of total sandblasting after two winters?!)
