depends on what you want. If you only want it to work when the bike is on you'll need the relay. An alternative is to just use a simple switch to turn power to the socket on and off.
Or just go with the fuse and then the socket always has power. Downside is that if you leave a device plugged in, while away from the bike it will drain the battery.
