I have the OTR one, it's the neatest solution in my opinion. I'm not a great fan of engine bars, so this is one reason I like the OTR solution. I've had mine on for about a year and it has seen some pretty rough riding, and has the marks and dings on the underside to show.
Despite the winter, it isn't showing any signs of corrosion.
I would certainly be happy to take the bike out into the wild with just this protection, I've tried it through Portugal last year, but then there was also guys with the OE bash plate and that worked fine too. It's all too easy to write off the OE bash plate, but I have jumped up and down on mine and it still in one piece!!
