Yes, been riding in it for a few days. I must say I am very pleased with it. The overall quality is the same as the previous HJC lids i have had. The graphics are well presented with out any bubbles or orange peel effect. The fit is perfect for me, with what feels like good quality lining.
This is my first "peaked" helmet, so i can only compare it to my full face lids and a shark flip front. I find it quieter than i expected. It is warmer to than, which i was surprised at due to the large uncloseable vent in the front and the MX style of the lid. The peak is OK, seems sturdy enough fro the job intended. I first rode it on a loan unfared bike as mine was in for a service, and got real head whip from the peak catching at anything oer 50mph or in gusts. However, on the XTX with my touring screen, i've been at 70mph + with no ill effects.
it does fog easily, but the airflow at around 30 mph clear most of it.
My only gripes. The visor is not a perfect fit. I have had it in rain with no issues, but it would be nice to have a proper seal. However on the positive, this improves ventiliation and reduces the fog issue. Also, the visor does not clear from vision when fully open. I rarely ride like this, so again, not a major issue. the visor touches the peak when opened, which is causing a couple of marks out of my vision. Optically there is some distortion when half open, spooky at first but now i am aware of it less of an issue. closed there is no issue.
Not tried it unvisored yet
For 40 it is amazing value. Suits the bike to a tee, and very comfortable. And far better for me than some of the 300 i have tried.
