No, I actually think the dipped beam is rather good (better than lots of other bikes I've had).
The main beam though, is a little too focused, especially on corners as you can't see where you are going until the bike straightens up. It's a very small amount of time, but it could be significant if that deer is standing waiting for you
And yes, I get narked by bikes coming towards me with overly bright illumination. Not just spots but overley bright headlights, and badly alligned lights too. It moves from "be safe be seen" to "I can't see a thing so I'll avert my eyes". Now I don't want to be riding my bike when the guy in the car coming the other way shuts his eyes, or worse decides to put his main beam on in retaliation........
