Whatever the performance, it's got to be better than my current leaking, noisy, scratched Shark lid.

You can definitly 'feel' the peak, but I think it would only be a real problem on bikes with a much higher top speed than the XT. I could happily sit at 85-90mph for 45mins without a problem. You feel it most when you do a shoulder check at high speed, as the airflow stops passing under the peak, and hits the side of it, but it's still fine. Only a tiny bit worse than my Caberg V2 'normal' lid.
