@A7: Which OE tyres have you got (Tourance or Sirac)?
On the bright side, if you are doing 30k miles a year you'll have been through a couple of sets of tyres before the winter, so you've got plenty of chance for experimentation
@Tom: I happen to know where there is a pair of Anakees which are barely scrubbed in, located quite near to you
. I'm sure we could come to some arrangement if you wanted them. I quite liked them on the DR, but then I also found the Tourances OK on the Ten', and they are (visually at least) a pretty similar tyre.
