Try Silicone Rescue tape, when you put it under tension it melts into itself forming a watertight seal. No need to remove the connectors... Hope this helps?

Peach + anyone else that has used this product... would this stuff be suitable to wrap around the wiring under the saddle as a substitute? I removed all the insulating tape + thin rubberish sheaths in order to try & locate an electrical fault (with no luck, see below for further details!). This rescue tape stuff seems ideal as it seals water out and apparently doesn't leave a sticky mess behind if/when you remove it.

Zensurf, mate I've had my bike for just over four years now & have clocked up about 45000kms (I'm a fair weather rider )

Problems to date...headlight bulb was blowing last summer, was due to vibes...easily fixed.

Recently I've had bigger problems, namely the ecu going norman bates on me. Thankfully with the help of the Capt and Kev I should have that fixed shortly.

Otherwise I'm all happy with her. I ride her very hard when solo and also do a fair bit of two up fully loaded touring with the Mrs.
