Had the same after I dropped it: steering bar is'nt bend but it is off-set / twisted some how. I discovered that one of the bar clamps / raisers was slightly tilted. Loosen the nut underneath the top joke / triple clamp that holds the clamps. Now straighten the steering bar and tighten the nut.

That fixed the problem... at least it did on that occasion.

Few weeks later the bar itself was actually bent... .but could be straightened with a long lever.
