ethanol

Yes definitely.
Governments has agreed CO2 emission targets. To satisfy the fashionable ECO winging voters, they have introduced bio diesel & ethanol in petrol.
In the UK, by current law, they have to add up to 5%.
In France I think you get 10% mix (the petrol is called E10)
In the Us I think it is a wopping 15%.

What the public is not told is that the production & addition of bio diesel & ethanol produces: more CO2 compared to the original fuel, causes more environmental damage as a lot of rain forest (specially) in the far east is burnt down to create fields for planting bio/ ethanol crop and finally a lot of farmers are now planting or selling the crop to the oil company as it increases their profits compared to selling it for food

Yo need to be aware of this cause ethanol on the one hand increases the octane rating which can be good but:
absorbs moisture
makes the fuel go off quicker
can cause damage to rubber, hose and metal in the engine specially on older bikes
affects star up in cold weather
increases fuel consumption
