Had to laugh at a lot of things said, especially the 'this is a bike that's meant to be dropped on its side'. I think if you drop this you'll have a hernia to go with your depleted bank balance! We shall see.

My brother works for BMW Rider training in South Africa and they teach a special technique to pick up large bikes. He is built fairly small/short compared to the usual GS rider and they are astonished how easily he can pick the bike up. Picking up the pig is not that big of a problem when it lies on the ground, the weight matters most when you are trying to balance the bike while loading a pillion, back pedalling or very slow speed manouvers.
