As we know, the standard Tenere footpegs are a little on the small side for standing up all day, and with an off-roading holiday to Portugal coming up (along with Gulgo, Stoic, Nick W and Bartman) I thought I'd try something better.
I had some Touratech ones lying around the shed, that I'd bought for my Buell Ulysses, but they never worked right, as all the extra width meant that you could no longer get your boot under the gearlever...! Anyway, I thought I'd try combining the two pairs.
Pic 1) is a standard one...
Pic 2) is the Touratech...
Pic 3) Quite a difference in size, eh?
Pic 4) I trimmed them both so they fitted together...
Pic 5) And then got "Garry the welder" to do the honours.
Pic 6) End result looks good, can't wait to try them out!!
