For what it's worth..

Tom,
I've only used the Tourances and the TCK's on the Tenere. The first set of Tourances were great, good fo rlong distance touring, stable, good feedback - but most of this was continental Europe with slightly worse surfaces than here in the UK.

The second set of Tourances were rubbish (OE ones are always better), lasted half the time, squared off, crap feedback. If I didn't know any better I'd have said they were a different tyre.

Then I moved to a set of TCK's. At first I didn't like the odd feel, cornering was a leap of faith, didn't trust them on wet corners at all and you get this funny little wobble from the front at low speeds. I reckon I'll get around 3000 miles our of the rear.

Since the suspension upgrade, they feel solid and well planted, there are no chicken strips, wet or dry it doesn't matter and there is no wobble from the front at slow speed.

The point I'm trying to make, albeit a long drawn out one, is that, as you know, your suspension and rubber work together, a change in one will make the other feel different to. You are going to have to re-evaluate things when you change your forks.....
